RPT Driver Training is run by Richard Tidswell. This policy explains how I use your personal information when you enquire about lessons, learn to drive with me or visit my website.

Information I use

When you enquire or take lessons, I may use your name, contact details, address, driving licence details, theory and practical test information, and messages you send me. I keep a pupil record while I am teaching you.

Please tell me about a health, eyesight or medication matter if it may affect your ability to drive safely. I use relevant information you share to plan safe instruction and handle it with particular care.

I use WhatsApp to communicate about bookings and lesson planning. My website may also collect basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type.

Why I use it

I use this information to answer enquiries, arrange and provide driving lessons, keep track of your learning, and contact you about your lessons. I use the information needed to provide the lessons we agree. Where I must keep information to meet a legal obligation, I use it for that purpose.

I do not sell your personal information.

Pupil records and messages

I delete your pupil record when you stop having lessons with me, whether you pass, move away or change instructor. I also periodically delete lesson planning messages from my WhatsApp chat and clear my copy of that chat when you leave.

Photos, pass posts and other publicity

I will ask for your explicit written permission before publishing your name, image or other personal information in a pass post or promotional material. This permission is separate from agreeing to driving lessons.

You can withdraw that permission by contacting me. I will stop using the material and remove it from my website and social accounts where I control it. I cannot remove copies that other people have made or shared.

Services I use

I use website, email and messaging services to run RPT Driver Training. Information you provide through those services may also be handled by their providers under their own privacy terms. I only share information where needed to provide lessons, manage the business or meet a legal requirement.

Cookies

My website may use cookies to make it work and to understand how it is used. Cookies are small files stored on your device. You can manage them through your browser settings and any cookie controls shown on the website.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct inaccurate information, or ask me to delete information where the law gives you that right. Where I use your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Contact me using the details above.
